Welcome to room 221 at Roosevelt Intermediate School, where I am teaching for the sixth year.  We are fortunate that room 221 is dedicated to Social Studies, so you will see many visuals that are related to 6th Grade Social Studies, "The Ancient World" and 7th Grade European Transformation. After previously teaching for 7 years at Westfield High School, I re-joined the staff and community at Roosevelt Intermediate School (RIS) in the 2020-2021 school year.  I think I share a passion for instruction and skills development with my peers at RIS, and I look forward to learning how I can help EVERY student in my classes.

My career background includes having taught intermediate school students in Elizabeth Public Schools, a Jersey City charter school and previously at Roosevelt School.  I also spent approximately 15 years in the Financial Services Industry as a securities analyst and portfolio manager; I continue that work on a daily basis through my consulting work in economic, stock and bond analysis.

My goal for students is always to help them climb the ladder of higher-order thinking (and communication) skills, which we will do in a highly interactive and engaging way.
