Ask yourself:

If you answered "yes" to these questions, an advanced course might be perfect for you!
In an advanced course, you'll:
- Read more challenging texts
- Take more detailed notes
- Make complex connections between different ideas
- Research topics from multiple perspectives
Advanced courses are for students who:
- Are highly motivated
- Love learning about social studies and world geography
- Want to challenge themselves academically
- Enjoy independent research and projects
What is different in an Advanced Course?
- Read complex, above-grade-level materials
- Conduct independent research
- Manage longer-term projects
- Write with more advanced reasoning
- Participate in special programs like National History Day
