This is my trip to Hunua falls. During winter time the water fall has a bigger flow so it looks so much nicer. During summer you can try to swim in the water but at your own risk. Hunua falls has quite a few camps around the area and there is a camp activity site located near the car park. There are two walks a 3 hour walk that takes you around the mountain and there is a 20 minute walk that takes you on a short course past the water fall and through some native Kauri forests. At the start of the walks you need to scrub your shoes at the Kauri Dieback Disease stations. I would recommend going to Hunua falls to anyone if you just want the views, the fun or the adventure.

Hunua Falls is located in the Hunua Park Ranges out past Papakura. It is still in Auckland but south east. The scenic view on the way there is amazing. Farmland surrounds the Kauri forest and fresh water, water fall.
