Meet the 5th Grade Team!
Welcome to 5th grade! Students do best when supported at school as well as at home. Please check ParentVue regularly to keep track of progress and any missing assignments.
Fifth grade is a year of fun, challenge, and great growth! We will be building on existing knowledge as well as learning new skills. Important skills to work on to be more successful this year:
Memorize multiplication facts - Students should know the answer to each math fact in 3-5 seconds. Knowing these facts automatically helps more than you can imagine! Practice with online programs or with flash cards.
Read! Read! Read! - Read for understanding. Make sure your child is reading daily and ask questions about what they have read. What was the main idea? , What was the problem?, Solution?, etc.
