This Google site Kete was developed as a result of a 2025 Primary Teacher's Sabbatical, undertaken by Keryn King - RTLB Practice leader in Cluster 28, Ngā Hau e whā, in Aotearoa NZ.
During the sabbatical, the writer collated information from a range of research articles and material on the theme of Culturally Sustaining Pedagogy (CSP). Teachers were also invited to contribute ideas from their own teaching experiences working with diverse language learners, via a Google Form.
A range of practical activities has been curated into a "kete" for teachers and schools to use to enhance and strengthen CSP. and are presented on each themed page in the Google site.
This kete is available for RTLB and schools with the link to freely share and use.
Where you see the Expand (drop down) arrow - (see graphic on the left) , click for more information.
At times, subpages contain additional material that may be useful for context. The main page will have an expand (drop down) arrow beside it.
Each page has a table of contents. Use the hyperlinks to jump to content.
These also serve as a summary of the Key Points on each page.
The content will contain practical key information or a practical school/teacher action to put in your kete.
