The course is designed to give the student exposure to the engineering of computers and robotics. The course emphasizes the application of science and math skills in the design and construction of electronic and computer controlled mechanical robots to perform complex tasks. Students work in a lab environment and learn the safe and proper use of tools, as well as the basic concepts of electronics and computer assisted design. Students have an opportunity to participate in Botball and US FIRST, and other competitions both locally and nationally.
Students may opt to take more than one semester of Robotics. Students who do so will be expected to work on more complex projects with a wider variety of challenges.
