This course is designed for students who would like to learn and use yoga as the focus of their fitness routine. Through a variety of flow routines and movements, and using hatha yoga poses and correct breathing techniques, students will strive to increase their flexibility, balance, and strength. Students will also learn ways to reduce their daily stress levels through regular breathing practice. Creating and performing an original yoga routine will be expected of each student in the class.
Students will be able to demonstrate proper Yoga Breathing techniques.
Students will be able to demonstrate 80-90 Vinyasa Yoga poses.
Students will be able to demonstrate modifications to these poses.
Students will be able to demonstrate and understand how to construct a 45 minute Vinyasa flow yoga routine.
Students will be able to demonstrate and understand proper Yoga Nidra practices.
