149 Media Matters 

Gr 9 - 12 | 3 Credits | Semester-Long | 5x per Cycle

It takes more than writers to produce a newspaper! In this course students will explore the fundamentals of journalism: news writing and reporting, features, editorials, and movie reviews, as well as photojournalism, electronic journalism, Web publishing, podcasts, video, and blogs. Students will also have the opportunity to contribute articles to the print and online editions of the school newspaper, The Bradford. This course does not fulfill graduation requirements in English. This course is a prerequisite for 160 or 160S Journalism/Bradford.
