Pauline Kimm (1926-2001)
Pauline Kim graduated as a Chemistry major from Wellesley, and got her Masters degree and Ph.D from the University of Michigan (1950-1955). She then went on to become a Senior Research Associate in the department of Pharmacology at Yale University School of Medicine. Kimm has 25 published research papers to her credit.
To do research, to educate the children, and to grow old together with my husband.
The most important part of my Wellesley experience was to be there, to receive and to know the best of American education available.
Wellesley helped most to pursue knowledge for its own sake.
The lake, chapel and friends.
Hope to work and retire in Korea when the children do not need our presence here any more.
I feel I have two special achievements:
(1) worked happily in my field of Synthetic Organic Chemistry and contributed somewhat to basic research (listing in American Men and Women of Science and others)
(2) glad my family and especially children turned out o.k.
