About
I am a first-year math PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania interested in algebra and algebraic geometry (here is my CV). My pre-thesis advisors are Julia Hartmann and Philip Gressman. I intend to work on my thesis under the supervision of Angela Gibney. Currently, I am a volunteer for Math Circles in West Philadelphia.
I got my B.A. in math in 2023 from Wellesley College, a historically women's liberal arts college near Boston, MA. My senior thesis advisor was Megan Kerr. My college experience made me understand the importance of getting more women and gender minorities to join the field of mathematics.
The summer before my senior year of college, I participated in the Summer@ICERM 2022 REU at ICERM in Providence, RI. This experience solidified my desire to be an academic researcher and go to graduate school (here is the paper and MAA FOCUS article that I co-authored during that program).
