Numbers (Year 9)

Integer: A number with no fractional part (no decimals). 

Rational: A number that can be made by dividing two integers

Irrational: A number that cannot be made by dividing two integers

Inverse operation: that undoes what was done by the previous operation (the opposite operation) 

Quotient: the result of a division

Product: the result of a multiplication

Multiples: are the result of multiplying a number.  

Factor: are integers that divide into a number without leaving a remainder.
