Directed number: Numbers that can be negative as well as positive. These is size (such as 3 or 9.9) and direction (- or +)
Negative: a value less than zero
Subtract: taking away one number from another
Product: The answer when two or more values are multiplied together.
Commutative: the order of the operations do not matter.
Inverse operation: that undoes what was done by the previous operation (the opposite operation)
Square numbers: A square number is the number we get after multiplying an integer by itself.
Square root: A square root of a number is a value that, when multiplied by itself, gives the square number. (e.g. : square root of 16 is 4)
Expression: Numbers, symbols and operators (such as + or - grouped together that show the value of something.) (None of these signs: = ≠ < > ≤ )
