Sequences: A list of numbers or objects in a special order.
Position: where a term is located in a sequence
Term: In Algebra a term is either a single number or variable, or numbers and variables multiplied together.
Ascending: Arranged from smallest to largest, increasing
Descending: Arranged from largest to smallest, decreasing
Linear: a straight line
Linear Sequences: A linear sequence goes from one term to the next by always adding (or subtracting) the same value)
Non-Linear: The difference between terms increases or decreases in different amounts.
Constant: A fixed value.
Describe (a sequence): Use mathematic operations to tell how a sequence change from one term to the next.
For example: Subtracting 5 each time/ Multiplying the previous term by 4/ Adding the two previous term together for Fibonacci Sequence
Explain (your answer): To provide a reason to support your answer.
For example: I think Dora is correct because...
Predict: Forecasting the required term in a sequence based on observations/ finding the term-to-term rule.
