Solving Quadratic Equations (Year 11F)

Solve: to find a value we can put in place of a variable that makes the equation true.    

Solution: a value, or values, that satisfies the equation  

Equation: A Mathematical statement that two things are equal  

Quadratic: Where the highest exponent of the variable is a square.  

Factorise: Finding what to multiply to get an expression.
