Good Afternoon, Range View Families!

Range View students participated in Hour of Code for the entire week! Mrs. Hacker, Mrs. Glover, and Mrs. Robinson did an amazing job providing so many opportunities for students to engage in coding and Makerspace learning experiences! A special "thank you" to all of the Otter Cares volunteers from OtterBox that supported us the entire week. Students enjoyed learning new skills and expressing their creativity.

Last week we highlighted some of our students' accomplishments and this week I'd like to congratulate our very own Dane B. for his dedication in taking action and making change in our town of Severance. As many of you have most likely heard, Dane went before the Town of Severance Board and shared why he thought the law prohibiting snowball throwing is outdated. The Town Board was reflective and responsive and changed this law to allow Severance residence to throw snowballs! I want to acknowledge Dane's teacher Mrs. Stanclift and her 3rd Grade team for promoting and supporting student voice, choice, and taking action. After their field trip to the Town Hall, Dane was inspired to take action and make change. I also want to thank Dane's parents for supporting him through this process. Kids can make a difference!

The photo below warmed my heart and reminded me how truly special our hardworking instructional support staff are to our school and to the success of our students! We appreciate and value each and every one of you!

See you Monday!

A Message from your Range View Parents (RVP)

STAFF APPRECIATION! We are trying something new for our staff this school year for staff appreciation. Instead of hosting a week's worth of events in the spring, we would like to show our appreciation throughout the school year by providing ongoing snacks and fruit in our newly remodeled staff lounge. We have created a little oasis for our staff to find some comfort during their day and would love to continue to fill our goody jars for them to enjoy. Thank you to Dawn Mcdougall for bringing in the first round of snacks. We still have several openings to sign up for. Please see the attached sign-up and click on the signup genius link for an easy way to help us show our appreciation for all of our Range View staff members. Call the front office at 970-833-7300 with any questions. THANK YOU!

THANK YOU to all of you who have signed up for staff appreciation lounge snacks AND for the Hot Cocoa bar for our staff, we feel so supported and cared for, thank you!

IMPORTANT Message from our District:

During district boundary meetings last month, community members engaged in thoughtful discussion and provided helpful input. Boundary Q and As on the district's website have been updated to reflect questions that were asked at the meetings. The Boundary Committee will continue to meet this month and review all feedback before presenting its recommendations to the Board of Education on December 10. Please visit the boundary website for details. Thank you.

Reminders & Updates

    • School Drop-Off is a busy time. We appreciate you following our drop-off protocol in order to keep our students safe. Please remember, you may drop off your child on Finch Drive (behind Range View) or pull into our East parking lot to drop off there. If you choose this option, please remember to pull as far forward as possible to allow your student to get out of your car and provide room for other cars to pull in. Please do not pull ahead of other cars as this can be dangerous for students and other drivers. If you need to park and get out of your vehicle, please park in the parking lot so that we can keep the drop-off line moving. Thank you!
    • Please note that our final morning bell rings at 8:05 am and at that time teachers bring in their students and all exterior doors are locked for safety purposes. If you arrive after 8:05, please drop your child off in the front of the building. You will be able to watch them walk into the front doors and they will be greeted by office staff and directed safely to their classroom. Thank you!
