What is Canva?
Canva is an online design platform created to bring designs to life.
How does it benefit my students/classroom?
Empowerment: Teachers have the opportunity to bring their creativity to life by designing.
Engage: Captivate students with the designs created by including appealing fonts, graphics, etc.
Resourceful: Canva’s library offers an abundance of templates and resources.
Plan for an upcoming lesson, meeting or presentation.
Create a Canva presentation and a Canva worksheet. You may use a template or create from scratch.
Your presentation and worksheet must include the following:
Formatting of font and text
Graphics
Animation (Presentations only)
Video (Presentations only)
Audio (Presentations only)
Transition (Presentation only)
Use your Canva presentation and worksheet for a lesson. For your presentation, you must utilize the following:
Remote Control
Utilize the remote control feature while presenting to your audience
Magic Shortcuts
To add a little pizazz and life to presentations, use one of the shortcuts to gain attention from your audience.
Magic Shortcuts:
Letter B to blur the current slide
Letter C for confetti rain
Letter D for a drumroll animation
Letter M for a mic drop animation
Letter O for floating bubbles
Letter Q for quiet
Letter U for a curtain call animation
Any number (0-9) for a timer (1 for one minute, 2 for two minutes, etc.)
After your lesson, reflect on your instruction using Canva and submit your evidence of mastery on this Reflection Form. Evidence of Mastery must be the “View Only” link for the presentation and worksheet.
