I grew up in Paramus and attended school there for most of my life. After leaving for college I went to Felician University where I received my degree in Elementary Education and History. I took the courses and exams to become Google Level 1 & 2 certified, and I am currently taking a mini masters in Technology and Coding with Harvard University. I am looking forward to continuously incorporate Google Apps for Education (GAFE) and my technology and coding skills into my lessons in the Library.
My Hobbies & Interests
Throughout high school and college I played on the varsity volleyball teams. For 2 years I coached the Felician Golden Falcons Women's volleyball team along with a few 15-18's girls volleyball teams. When I'm not playing or coaching volleyball you can catch me reading a good book, crocheting, and I love to workout to have some relaxing time. I love country music and movies and you will definitely see all sorts of creativity incorporated into our class!
I come from a large family
I am the second oldest of 4 children
I have two of the most ADORABLE nephews and niece in the world!
I LOVE all things Minion!
Baking is my secret specialty
I am also the world's best car singer!
Why I Became A Teacher
I believe a part of me has always known that I was going to be a teacher. I believe in our future and I also believe that children are our future. I became a teacher in hopes of affecting students the way I was affected when I was young. Providing them with more than just knowledge but a basis and a respect for learning and growth and curiosity that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. I hope to do so and I can't wait to work with each and every one of you!
My Teaching Philosophy
My beliefs on teaching are short and simple- Everyone Can. I believe that if someone is willing to do something or learn or grow then everyone can accomplish, everyone can succeed, everyone can grow! It is my philosophy that what students are exposed to and develop when they're younger can have an enormous impact on the rest of their lives. It is my mission to instill in my students the belief that they too can do anything they set their mind to, and with my help I hope to guide them along that path.
