Ms. Menasian (ELA)

Room 309

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to visit our 5th Grade Google Site page! My name is Christine Menasian and this is my fifth year teaching 5th grade at Theodore Roosevelt School. I earned a BA in Criminal Justice from Quinnipiac University (Go Bobcats!), which provided me with in-depth knowledge. After college I went to work at a law firm as a paralegal in Ridgewood, NJ where I handled real estate transactions and closings, estate matters, and the execution of estate documents. I later began working as a paralegal in Hoboken. After deciding that the law field just was not for me, I decided to go back to school to become a teacher and work with children, my true passion. While attending Caldwell University, I worked at a middle school in Paramus, NJ, working with autistic and physically disabled children. I recently received my Masters in Literacy Instruction from Caldwell University.

As an educator, it is my goal to reach all learners, so that they acquire the skills needed to become well-rounded, contributing members of society. I feel this can be accomplished through differentiated instruction that is driven by research, curriculum and assessment. I truly believe that all children have the ability to learn and will help your children reach their potential by setting my expectations for work habits and behavior at the highest attainable level for each individual student. I feel thankful to be part of such a well-respected and close-knit community such as Weehawken and look forward to a wonderful year!
