Stock Photography
Stock photography is the supply of photographs, which are often licensed for specific uses.
It is used to fulfill the needs of creative assignments instead of hiring a photographer, often for a lower cost.
Today, stock images can be presented in searchable online databases.
They can be purchased and delivered online. Some are free.

File Types
JPG - a file extension for a lossy graphics file. The JPEG file extension is used interchangeably with JPG. JPEG stands for Joint Photographic Experts Group.
PNG - a file extension used for transparency for a logo, a small icon, or some other small graphic that may have a special use case, like a drop shadow.
Don't use PNG for large photographic images.
It adds data to the image and therefore increases the file size.
If you have a photo, always used JPG for websites and blogs.
There's no reason to use PNG for any photo.
