Welcome to The Bridge Newspaper homepage.  The Bridge is Webster's school and community newspaper.  It is published 5 times per school year.  Roughly 5000 copies are distributed to every Webster and Danbury postal code address as well as to open enrolled families.  The Bridge is produced mostly by students in the Publications class, but other students and classes help with other parts of the production.  Articles are written by Students, Staff, and Community members.  It takes roughly 2 weeks of class time to produce one issue of The Bridge.  Each publication is a way for the school to stay connected to our community and provide information about the wonderful experiences and achievements our students are involved in.  The students within the Publication class gain first hand knowledge about the importance of communication, the importance of factual and detailed information as well as some of the students develop skills in photo editing and photography.  The Bridge has been published for more than 25 years, with four advisors, Mary Swingle, Sarah Smith, Marleana Rank and currently Dan Swenson.  The Bridge won three awards under the guidance of Marleana Rank, a first-place finish in 2012 for general excellence in its division in the annual Wisconsin Newspaper Association Foundation High School "Better Newspaper Contest", an honorable mention award in 2010 and a third place award in 2011.
