1st semester stars

These star students achieved a 3.0 or higher GPA for the first semester. We are proud of you! Keep up the hard work!

These Talented Art students, under the instruction of their teacher, Mrs. Rhonda Porter, had art featured in the first annual Louisiana Legends Festival art show at the Ford Museum. Their art was also purchased by several patrons of the museum. The art show was comprised of both Homer and Summerfield students' art which reflected their interpretation of the music of Bobby Rush or music in that era.

Pictured are (l-r) Leyla Slaughter and Jarei'Yuana Adams (8th grade, Homer Junior High), Aniya Heard, (9th grade, Homer High School), and Nia Holmes (9th grade, Summerfield High School).

Congratulations to these students! We are so proud of you!
