Welcome To Fu-Tien Elementary School
Fu-Tien Elementary School is located in Fu-Tien village of Neipu, Pingtung County. It’s a typical Hakka primary school with about 90% of Hakkanese students, and 10% of Fukenese and indigenous students. In the school year of 2021, there are 6 classes from grade 1 to 6 with 75 student population, and 15 teaching faculty, including the principal, teachers and administrators.
Fu-Tien Elementary School has three visions: Enriched Learning and Cultivation, Healthy and Virtuous Life, and Innovation and Creation. Fu-Tien is dedicated to making these visions come true, leading our students to live up to the school slogan, “Enrich Your Life, Fulfill Your Heart.”
Fu-Tien Elementary School also has three other titles: Duel Language Pilot Program School of Pingtung, Base School of FET Project of Pingtung, and International Education Ideal School. In Fu-Tien, international education is the central theme of our school-based curriculum which includes global competence (taught in Mandarin) and International Education Master (taught mainly in English). In the international education courses, our students not only learn to recognize diverse cultures of different countries around the world, but also understand global issues such as environmental protection, pandemic prevention, human rights, gender equality, uneven distribution of wealth. Most importantly, Fu-Tien aims at maximizing student’s four key abilities: English language skills, ICT, critical thinking and exploration, and cross-cultural communication for travelling globally.
