Hello! My name is Lucy Lozar and I have been teaching for the West De Pere School District since 2017. Even though I am an Appleton native, I taught physical education at the middle school level in Granby, CO prior to teaching here in West De Pere.  I graduated from UW-Stevens Point with the degree in Physical Education and Health in 2003. I became a National Board Certified Teacher in Early-Middle Childhood Physical Education in December of 2023. I love skiing, hiking, mountain biking, camping, running, triathlon, and spending time outdoors.  I am passionate about teaching my students to "find their adventure" and create healthy habits that they can continue for a lifetime.  I have a 3 young children- Sam, Sophia, and Charlotte.  I also coach middle school volleyball.  

The focus for my physical education classes includes: 

• Keeping students active for most of class time.

• Teaching students skills for self- management.

• Teaching students knowledge and skills for a lifetime of physical activity.

• Creating a class climate that is enjoyable for all students.
