Welcome to Reading!

I am so excited to be your teacher this year and to most of all, READ with you!  Together we will work hard to become super strategic readers excited about our books.

A little background on myself:

• I have been teaching since 1999 and have taught in Little Chute School District, Howard-Suamico School District and West De Pere.  I love being a Phantom plus my three boys are Phantoms too.!

• I have an undergraduate degree in Special Education- Learning Disabilities K-9 (1999) and a master's degree as a reading teacher and reading specialist (2004).

• My husband is a middle-school teacher in Green Bay and together we have three boys:  Ben, Sam, and Ethan.

I have a PASSION for teaching reading and my personal goal is to foster this passion into each and every student I work with.  Not everyone has to love reading, but my goal is for all readers to feel equipped to read a variety of texts, understand what they read, and find a book that works for them. I love teaching reading and helping students find good fit books to be excited about!
