Hello and welcome to Language Arts!

My name is Mrs. Counard.  I grew up in Green Bay, WI, where I graduated from Southwest High School; I then attended St. Norbert College, where I earned my degree in both English and Math for secondary education, and began my teaching career in 2001.  I later earned my Master's Degree in Education from Viterbo University.   For over twenty years, my husband and I, and our three daughters, have called West De Pere home.  We enjoy spending time watching our kids' sporting activities, traveling to new places, camping in our favorite spots, or just being outdoors.

I have been teaching 8th grade language arts since 2018, and truly look forward to meeting new people each year.  My teaching goal is to help every student learn more about their value and their place in the world around us, through reading and writing.  I'm looking forward to a great school year with you!
