I began my career as an English teacher and decided to get my Master of Science in Reading degree to help my students access the texts we were reading and writing about in class.  Eventually my role shifted from English teacher to district reading specialist where I coached teachers grades K-12 on all aspects of literacy.  

Currently I teach LLI (Leveled Literacy Intervention), Wilson Language System, Comics Decoding and Word Connections.  I love working with students all day! I enjoy the challenge of figuring out what each student specifically needs to improve as a reader and writer. I look forward to working with and getting to know every student as we read and write together all year.
