Hello and welcome to 3rd Grade! I am so excited to kick off another new school year with this amazing community.

Here is a little bit of information about myself. My name is Krystal VanLaanen, and I have been teaching at Westwood for quite some time now. Third grade is filled with some of my favorite things: reading and talking about exciting new books, exploring ecosystems and lifecycles of living things, writing phenomenal true stories, and becoming solid mathematicians! 

When I am not in the classroom, you can find me hanging out with my husband and our 2 sons. We love to be outdoors, especially at our cottage in Door County where we fish, paddle board, and swim.
