Hello!

My name is Danielle Hettmann, and I am a full time school counselor at Hemlock Creek Elementary School. As a West De Pere High School graduate (class of 2005), and I am thrilled to work in this amazing district. I received my bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies from UW-Madison in 2009 and my Master's degree in School Counseling from UW-Oshkosh in 2013. I spent the first 8 years of my elementary counseling career in Manitowoc, and I joined the West De Pere school counseling team in 2021.

As a school counselor at Hemlock Creek Elementary, I am passionate about helping students reach their unique goals and fostering the social, emotional, and academic growth in young learners. My role is to educate students in social and emotional self-awareness to help them develop into responsible members of their communities. I achieve this goal through bi-weekly whole class lessons, small group counseling, and short-term individual counseling services. I take pride in providing students with a positive, safe, and fun counseling environment.

When I am not at Hemlock Creek, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, going for walks, watching movies, and cherishing every moment with my children and our 5 cats.
