Hello and welcome to Kindergarten!
We are going to have a lot of fun learning, exploring, and playing together while making our classroom a home away from home for your child. As we learn and grow together this year, this site will provide you with ongoing support and bridge the gap between the classroom and your home. As you explore, you will find information that will keep you in the loop and allow you to be an involved member of the learning process. Here's to a great year; it's going to be a grand adventure!
Our Classroom
I encourage my kindergartners to develop a passion for learning by providing an engaging classroom environment. I emphasize the importance of taking risks, asking questions, thinking critically, and problem-solving with one another. I believe establishing a strong classroom community is key to students' success. Our classroom family will work to support and challenge one another to reach our highest potential each day!
About Me
I am a 2007 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I received my Master's Degree in Educational Psychology in 2025 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, also. On Wisconsin! I have been teaching Kindergarten at Westwood since 2008.
My husband, Jon, and I reside in Appleton with our three kiddos: Henry, Eloise, and Theodore. We love to spend time together exploring and playing at local parks, hiking, biking, reading, snuggling up for movie nights, and playing in our backyard.
