Hello and welcome to Kindergarten!

We are going to have a lot of fun learning, exploring, and playing together while making our classroom a home away from home for your child.  As we learn and grow together this year, this site will provide you with ongoing support and bridge the gap between the classroom and your home. Our Classroom
I encourage my kindergartners to develop a passion for learning by providing an engaging classroom environment.  I emphasize the importance of taking risks, asking questions, thinking critically, and problem-solving with one another.  I believe establishing a strong classroom community is key to students' success.  Our classroom family will work to support and challenge one another to reach our highest potential each day!  

About Me
I am a 2007 graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  I have been teaching Kindergarten at Westwood since 2008.  I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree in Educational Psychology through the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  On Wisconsin!  

My husband, Jon, and I reside in Appleton with our three kiddos: Henry, Eloise, and Theodore.  We love to spend time together exploring and playing at local parks, hiking, biking, reading, snuggling up for movie nights, and playing in our backyard.
