Hello and welcome to our class website!  I am so excited for the opportunity to work with all of you this year. We have many exciting and engaging opportunities before us. As we learn and grow together this year, this site will provide you with ongoing support and bridge the gap between the classroom and your home. As you explore, you will find a great deal of information that will keep you in the loop and allow you to be an involved member of the learning process. Here's to a great year!

Background Information: I am from Alpena, Michigan.  I went to Alpena Community College for two years before transferring to Northland College, which is in Ashland, Wisconsin.  While at Northland College I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Studies Education with a minor in History.  During that time I also played three years of Division 3 Baseball and Hockey for the Lumberjacks. 

After college I taught 6-12 Social Studies at the School District of Butternut from 2002-2011.  During that time I received my Masters of Arts Degree in History from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire.  

In 2011 I moved to West De Pere to teach Psychology and History.  While here I received my Drivers Education Certification, which I teach in the summers through West De Pere High School. I also help coach the Men's Golf Team. 

I have a lot of interests and hobbies.  I enjoy golfing, playing hockey, the outdoors, traveling, and working around my house. I was married on October 4th 2014 and my wife and I welcomed the birth of our son Henryk Owen Hamp in June 2015, and our second son, Greyson Lee Hamp on August 24th 2017.
