Welcome to our 2nd grade class!

 My name is Catlyn  Broekman and I have been teaching 2nd grade at Westwood since 2008.  In December of 2007, I earned a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Natural Science Broad-field from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.  In May of 2011, I graduated from Concordia University acquiring my Master's in Reading.

I view our classroom as a safe, learning community where we treat each other with respect and kindness. 

When I am not in my classroom, you can find me with my husband, Brian, and our sons, Walter, Alexander, and Anderson.  We enjoy reading, playing games, and spending time outside going for bike rides and throwing stones at the beach.
