Meet Mrs. Brehm
Hello and welcome to Phy Ed!
Thank you for visiting my webpage! My name is Mrs. Brehm and I am a physical education teacher at Hemlock Creek Elementary School. Please feel free to contact me if you need assistance as I am always happy to help.
Personally speaking, I grew up in Greenleaf, Wisconsin, on a dairy farm in a family of five. I attended Wrightstown Schools, kindergarten through grade twelve. Following high school, I attended the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. I obtained an undergraduate degree in physical education, health education, and adapted physical education in 2006. I am married to my husband, Chuck, and have an 12-year-old son, C.J., a 10-year-old daughter, Lauren, and a 6-year-old son, Easton. We also have a pet dog, Leroy.
Following college, my first teaching position was in the Wisconsin Rapids Public School District. For three years, I served as the early childhood through sixth grade physical education and adapted physical education teacher, junior high and junior varsity girls soccer coach, and Special Olympics coach.
In 2009, my husband and I decided to relocate back to the Fox Cities area. Before joining the West De Pere School District, I spent one year teaching elementary and middle school physical education in the Wrightstown Community School District. This is my 15th year teaching at Hemlock Creek Elementary School. Overall, this is my 19th year teaching physical education.
In July 2010, I earned my Masters in Education from Viterbo University. I strongly believe in lifelong learning and strive to continually keep up with the best practices in the field of physical and health education by attending conferences, workshops, and trainings.
Teaching elementary physical education is truly a passion of mine and I enjoy every minute of it. I have a student first approach to teaching. My priority is to provide all students with a comprehensive and positive physical education experience that they will take with them through their years of education as they lead an active, healthy lifestyle.
In addition to teaching physical education, I enjoy running, Crossfit, walking our family dog, shopping and spending time with my family and friends.
If I can ever be of assistance to you or your child, please do not hesitate to contact me. If I am unavailable, I will get back to you as soon as my time allows.
I look forward to getting to know you and your child as the school year progresses.
GO PHANTOMS!
