ACTIVITY #1-map identification: identifying the following locations on the map: Persian Gulf, Tigris & Euphrates Rivers, Zagros & Taurus Mountains, Syrian & Arabian Deserts, Babylon, Sumer, Assyria and Mesopotamia.
ACTIVITY #2- physical features: connecting how the deserts, mountains, rivers and the gulf helped in the development of Mesopotamia.
ACTIVITY #3- reading skills activity: annotating 3 paragraphs by highlighting the passage, identifying the main idea and responding to 2 questions for each paragraph.

Today we will read possible scenarios about early human life.
We will respond to the scenarios and discuss them together in class.
When finished, you will look at a large map displayed in the classroom and imagine yourself as an early human and decide where the best place to settle would be.
Mark it on the map and discuss your reasoning.
