WCUSD Speech & Debate

WCUSD is proud to partner with Advantage Communications to offer a Speech and Debate program at no-cost to 4th-8th grade students. Speech and Debate is a unique opportunity for all sorts of student personalities (outgoing, shy, funny, serious, etc.). Students compete in one or more of a variety of speech event categories where they gain confidence in presenting in front of adults and peers, and learn how to speak with clarity and with persuasion. Students develop skills and confidence in many areas that not only help promote their success in the classroom, but also in life and the workplace. It is also a great way to earn a college scholarship!

You can read more about the advantages of participating in Speech and Debate here: 5 Advantages to Your Child Participating in Speech and Debate
