Speech and Debate is a unique opportunity for all sorts of student personalities (outgoing, shy, funny, serious, etc.). Students compete in one or more of a variety of speech event categories where they gain confidence in presenting in front of adults and peers, and learn how to speak with clarity and with persuasion. Students develop skills and confidence in many areas that not only help promote their success in the classroom, but also in life and the workplace. It is also a great way to earn a college scholarship!
