About Me

I attended SUNY New Paltz for my undergraduate studies and received my bachelors degree in elementary education (certification Nursery through grade 6). For my masters degree, I attended Mount St. Mary College and received my masters degree in literacy (certification birth through grade 6). Additionally I have become certified in the Wilson Reading System (a mutlisensory approach to reading) steps 1-6 and I am also at the associate level Orton Gillingham certification. 

Before coming to Wappingers Central School District, I was a reading specialist for the Newburgh Enlarged City School District. Prior to becoming a reading specialist I taught both second grade and third grade. I have been a reading specialist with Wappingers Central School District for twenty years. I started my time in Wappingers at Vassar Road Elementary School and Kinry Road Elementary School which is where I taught for fourteen years. For the two years prior to coming to Myers, I taught at Fishkill Elementary School. I have now been a Myers Tiger for five years.
