To change the default program for opening files on your computer, right click on the file.
2. Click Open with.
3. Click Choose Another App.
4. In this example, we want to use the program Adobe Acrobat Reader to open PDF files instead of something like Microsoft Edge. Select the program you want to use and click Always for this to become the default program or Just Once if you only want to use this program this one time.
This will make the program you selected the default program for opening certain types of files.
