Magic School AI Overview

     Magic School AI offers both free and paid versions of the program.  Check out the price guide below to compare what options are available to you for the free and paid versions.   Note:  Washington County Virginia Schools has purchased the Enterprise version of Magic School AI.  We now have access to many new features not previously avaialble in the Free version.  

Let's answer a question that many people ask about AI:  

"How many prompts (questions) can I ask with the free version of this AI program?" 

     Unfortunately, with Magic School AI, there is not a "magic number" of prompts that you can ask the program with the free version.  According to Magic School AI's website:   Limits on usage are based on how much you use the platform over a one month period.  

     For example, if you use Magic School AI multiple times per day, you will run out of free prompts before the end of the month.  If you only use it a few times per week, you should have enough free prompts to last a full month.  You will get a warning message from Magic School AI when you are near your limit of prompts for the month.  Regardless of how much or how little you use the free version of Magic School AI, the limits reset each month and will change based on usage.  

     The paid versions of Magic School AI offer unlimited use, so there are no limits to the number of prompts you can ask the program.

1.  Click the link or go to this website:    https://www.magicschool.ai/

2.  Click Sign up free to get started.  Note:  If your school system has access to the paid Enterprise version, click Login instead.  You should be directed to log in with your school system's Google Account and automatically be signed into Magic School AI with your school account.   If that does not work, follow these steps below and you can create your Magic School AI account.

3.  Click An Educator (Age 18+) option.

4.  Click Sign Up With Google.

5.  Select your WCS Account.

6.  You will be directed to the Magic School dashboard.  Below is a screenshot of the Free version's dashboard.

Congratulations!  You now have a Magic School AI account.  There are no limits as to how long your free account remains active.  Check with your school district if you have the Enterprise version to see how long the plan lasts.
