4. Magic School AI will generate a unit plan in a matter of seconds. This particular unit plan takes place over 20 days (4 weeks). The screenshots below will show you parts of the unit plan created by Magic School AI since it was not possible to screenshot the entire unit on one page. You can see the plan for each day of the unit.
As you can see, Magic School AI created three suggestions for culminating activities at the end of the unit. The final part shows the standards you listed in the prompt. You now have a framework for a unit plan. However, you will also notice that this unit plan is very generic and lacks details.
The way AI works in general, you have to provide as much information as possible in the prompt question. This example only provided the name "Romeo and Juliet" for the unit title with no real details provided. You can copy this unit plan framework generated above and edit it yourself to provide more details for each day of the unit. If you are not satisified with the response that Magic School AI provides, you can edit the prompt and add more information to flesh out the unit plan.
5. To edit the prompt, scroll back to the top of the page and click Edit Prompt.
6. Add your new information in the Unit Plan/Title and Context boxes.
We also added more detailed standards as well. Once you have added the information you want, click Generate.
7. Magic School AI generated another unit plan based on the new information added to the prompt. The second lesson is still not very detailed, but it does contain the sections of the play to be read each day in class. Check out sections of the unit plan in the pictures below.
The unit plan is still not very in-depth, but it gives you a framework to build from where you can expand on ideas given to you by Magic School AI. When creating your prompt, you can attach files from your computer to the prompt by clicking the paperclip (attachment) icon in the Unit Plan Title/Topics and Context boxes. Attaching files with large amounts of information will flesh out your unit plan with even more details. Magic School AI can analyze large documents and pull the information into the unit plans.
Magic School AI will not necessarily write the entire unit plan for you, but it will give you several ideas for getting started and give you some idea prompts that you can flesh out with your own ideas.
