Download Files to Your Chromebook and Access Offline
1.Make sure that your Chromebook has internet access before you download any files.
2. Sign into your Chromebook either with the student’s username and password or use the QR Code Badge. Make sure that the student is signed into their WCS Login on the Chromebook or you will NOT be able to download files.
How to Download Files From Schoology:
1.For example, if you are in Schoology and want to download a file from a class, here is what the screen looks like. Double click on the file you want to open and download.
2. Click on the Download arrow located in the top right section of the Schoology course. It will be just to the right of the print icon.
3. You will see a box on the right side of the screen showing the progress of the download. Once the file is downloaded to your Chromebook, the box will say Download Complete in the lower right hand corner of the screen.
4. Download all materials that you need to the Chromebook while you still have an internet connection. Once you are finished, you can close the chromebook. Click Herefor directions on how to access these materials offline.
How to Download Files from Google Classroom:
1. Open the file that you want to download to the Chromebook. For example, to download a file from Google Classroom, open the class where the file is located.
2. Open the assignment.
3.Click on the File you want to download.
4. Click the small downward arrow to access the full list of menu options for the file.
5. ClickFile. Then clickDownload.
6. Select the format in which you want to download this file. For example, we will select Microsoft Word.
7. Once the file has downloaded to the Chromebook, you will see this message in the lower right corner of the screen saying Download Complete.
8. Download all files that you need while you still have an internet connection. Once you are done, close the Chromebook. Click Herefor the directions on how to access these files offline.
