Conundrum

Object:  The object of Conundrum is to figure out a nine-letter word from a series of scrambled letters. There are 30 different Conundrum games, so this game can be used as a bellringer or quick activity at any time.

Play: Each student will need a pencil and a sheet of paper.  Go to Slide 3 and put the activity into Present mode by clicking the Slide Show button located at the bottom right corner of the screen (see the picture below). 

     The teacher selects one of the 30 Conundrum activities on Slide 3 and will be directed to that game.  Each slide contains a series of 9 jumbled letters and a blue Answer box located below the letters.  Show the 9 letters to the students and give them 30 seconds or 1 minute to guess the 9-letter word using all the letters.  

     When time is up, ask each student to reveal their answer.  The student must hold up their sheet of paper to show the teacher their work.  Once everyone has showed their answers, click the blue Answer box to reveal the 9-letter word.  If you want to play multiple Conundrum games, click the Back button on the slide to go back to the list of games on slide 3.
