Connecting a Computer to an Epson Projector and Elmo
1. Connect the white USB cable that is running from the projector down the wall into one of the USB ports on the side of your computer. The USB cable enables the interactive part of the Epson projector on the whiteboard.
2. The Epson projector has built-in speakers. If you want to use them, you will need to connect an HDMI cable from the projector to the HDMI port on the side of the computer. An HDMI cable looks like this:
Connect an Epson Projector to an Elmo and Computer:
Connect the VGA cable (the long one coming down the wall from the ceiling) to the LEFT VGA input on the side of the Elmo.
2. Connect a shorter VGA cable into the right VGA input on the side of the Elmo. The input will have a picture of a computer below it. Connect the other end of the cable into the computer's VGA input jack.
Selecting Which Source to Show on the Epson Projector:
Using the Epson projector remote, you can select which device you want to show on your whiteboard.
2. To show the computer screen and/or your Elmo, press the Computer option.
3. If you are playing a video and want to use the built-in projector speakers, press the HDMI/Video option.
Note: Normally, you will not use the USB option ON THE REMOTE even though you have a USB cable plugged into the projector. The USB cable is used to make the projector’s image on the whiteboard interactive. The interactive feature will automatically be activated without having to push the USB button on the remote. All you have to do is connect the USB to the computer. The interactive feature also works if you are using either the VGA or HDMI inputs on the remote.
