You can change your keyboard language to a variety of languages from around the world. In this tutorial, we will show you how to change your keyboard from United States English to the United States International keyboard.
1.Type Settings in the white search bar in the bottom center of the screen.
2. Click Settings.
3. Click Time and Language.
4. Click Language.
5. Under Preferred Languages, click the three horizontal dots next to English (United States).
6. Click Language Options.
7. Click Add a Keyboard.
8. Select United States-International QWERTY.
9. Your choice of keyboard language can now be seen next to the date and time in the lower right-hand corner of the screen.
10. To change the keyboard to the United States International keyboard, click the ENG US language option.
11. Select United States International from the list of options.
This will change your keyboard to the United States International keyboard. However, if you shut down your computer or even put the computer to sleep, the keyboard setting will go back to the United States English keyboard when the computer is restarted. To keep the International keyboard selected:
1.Click More Keyboard Settings from the list of options.
2. Click the Time and Language tab.
3. Click Typing.
4. Click Advanced Keyboard Settings.
5. Under the Override for Default Input Method tab, click the dropdown menu and select English (United States) - United States International keyboard as your default keyboard.
Repeat steps 1-5 if you want to change your default keyboard back to United States English.
