Hello Families!

In the classroom I follow two core beliefs... One, I truly believe in Dr. Chapman's 5 Love Languages.  We all respond to love in many different ways and feel loved in different ways and I can only hope to find out a child's and teach to it.  Second, I believe in Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences because we all have strengths in different areas. 

Finally, during the summers I mentor teachers around the county teaching them STEM and how to embed real life authentic activities into their classroom.  Teachers then design units around what they learned and implement it in their classroom.  At York, we tend to fail fast and often at school so we can reflect and improve!  I'm blessed to be a part of many organizations where teachers coach one another and build better leaders in ourselves, the staff we teach, and the students we serve!
