Hi and welcome to 5th Grade! I was born in New Hampshire, but moved to Rochester, NY where I was raised. Growing up, I quickly discovered my love for learning and discovering new things! I attended Union College in Schenectady, NY where I played college field hockey and studied Cognitive Neuroscience. I graduated from Union College with a B.S in Neuroscience in 2017.
After college, I moved to Raleigh, NC for the sunshine and warm weather. I quickly realized that I was not passionate about careers related to my neuroscience degree, and I went back to school. I always loved learning, helping others, and teaching kids so I decided to pursue teaching as a career. I performed my student teaching internship here at White Oak Elementary and fell in love with the community. I ended my student teaching internship early to be a long term substitute in 4th grade here at White Oak and continued to grow my love for teaching and White Oak Elementary. I graduated from Meredith in May of 2024 with a M.A.T in Elementary Education K-6.
I am excited to be back for my second year here at White Oak! Some fun facts: my favorite color is yellow, I love science, and I'm an avid sports fan. Go Hurricanes! Go NC State! Go Boston Bruins!!!!!!
