I grew up in Morrisville, North Carolina with my brother and sister where we spent much of our time kayaking at Jordan Lake, biking the tobacco trails, and road-tripping up and down the east coast! My family has always seen the value of learning through experiences and meeting people, which fuels the lifelong learner in me. I attended North Carolina A&T State University (Aggie Pride!) where I received my Bachelor's in Elementary Education with a focus on Diverse Learners. Although this is my first year teaching, I come into the classroom with over 9 years of experience in Youth Programs with the YMCA of the Triangle.
When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy cheering on the Carolina Hurricanes and traveling! My recent travels have taken me to New York City, Bermuda,Palm Springs and Los Angeles California, Joshua Tree National Park, and New Orleans! Above all, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and watching my two wonderful nephews grow up (with one on the way this September! I am looking forward to an awesome school year with your child!
