I am so excited to be teaching fifth grade at White Oak this year! 

I just moved to North Carolina this past June. I grew up in Connecticut, and I attended Central Connecticut State University, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in English. This will be my fourth year of teaching; I have taught two years of third grade and one year of fifth grade. I am currently taking classes towards my Master's Degree in Literacy through the University of St. Joseph. 

In my free time, I love to run, read, and travel. I spent the summer exploring this beautiful new state! As a teacher, I believe it is important to foster meaningful relationships with students in order to build a strong classroom community where students feel comfortable challenging themselves and putting in their best effort everyday.
