Hi! I'm Ms. Anderson and I will be your child's 5th-grade teacher this year!

I am originally from Myrtle Beach, SC, but grew up in Holly Springs, NC. Although I do not have kids, I like to refer to my cat Zuko as my child. In my spare time, I love to read, listen to music, shop, and play softball. I believe a successful year must first be built by fostering a strong classroom community from the moment every student walks through the door. I hold myself and my students to high expectations throughout our time together and I hope that through respect, communication, and a lot of laughter, your child will feel that they are in a loved and safe environment to do their best learning!

I graduated with my Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University (ROLL NEERS!). In addition to my Bachelor's, I obtained my Master's in Reading Education with a certificate in Autism.
