Your digital portfolio is a web-based collection of artifacts that document your middle and high school experience in WCPSS. The construction of your portfolio will be an ongoing process that you will update and change every year. It is an expectation that all students in WCPSS participate in this opportunity to show growth and evidence of personal and academic reflection.

Students will create digital portfolios using Google Sites to design and compile an electronic portfolio of their academic and extracurricular activities. Students will continue to contribute to their portfolios over the course of their middle and high school careers. Digital portfolios can be useful in showcasing students’ talents and can be used when applying to internships and colleges.

Digital portfolios serve as integrative tools to examine and archive significant examples of students' educational and extra-curricular experiences. Portfolios encourage creative, real-time reflection and enable students to make connections between and across courses and disciplines, as well as to bridge the gap between educational experiences inside and outside of classrooms. Portfolios will also enable students to connect their school career with their own values and future goals, and provide a space for students to begin translating their school experience as they prepare for their next steps.
