Welcome to TCE Fourth Grade!
The Fourth Grade Team
We are the fourth grade team! Collectively we have over 60 years of teaching experience, have taught in more than 5 different states, and have taught over 1,500 students! We promise we aren't as old as that sounds.
We hope you find this website a helpful resource and encourage you to refer to it often with any questions you might have. We are looking forward to another great year at Turner Creek!

Turner Creek has a no birthday party policy.
If your child would like to share birthday treats with the class, please bring in the treats at our lunchtime 12:25-1:00 and plan to stay to help your child distribute their snack in the cafeteria.
WCPSS policy states that all food brought to school to share must be store bought.
Please do not send in party invitations to be handed out in class, as this tends to cause distractions in the learning environment and hurt feelings if you are not planning to host the entire class.
Homework is assigned Monday-Thursday and written in student agendas as part of students’ morning routine. We ask parents to sign agendas nightly, to help support student accountability. Homework should take no more than 1 hour each night and consists of reading and math review. Students will periodically bring quizzes and tests home to correct as part of homework.
Consequences will be given for incomplete homework.
Please click on the "Homework and Links" tab or "This Week's Homework" button to see the homework for this week.
Students will have an opportunity to take a snack break during the day. We strongly encourage healthy snack choices to help students stay focused throughout the day. Water is the permitted drink in the classroom. Any other drinks should be saved for lunch.
We discourage you sending in:
- soda (not allowed)
- donuts/pie/cake/other pastries
- meat sticks (eg: slim jim)
- pop tarts
- Fruit (fresh, canned, dried)
- Carrots sticks or other vegetables
- Whole grain crackers
- Graham crackers
- Animal crackers
- Whole grain cereal
- Raisin bread
- Trail Mix
- Rice cakes
- Granola bars (low fat/sugar)
- Pudding cups
- Fruit/veggie pouches
