Students will create a site and be expected to update their site with projects and work from class. Below you can find some of the expectations on a post. These digital portfolios will carry through the program with them from Art 1 and the rest of the Visual Arts classes. This helps students reflect and see their progress as they grow in understanding.
DESCRIBE:
Describe your piece and what it is. How would you explain it to someone over the phone or who has never done this type of art before?
ANALYZE:
Explain at least 1 of the following in your piece: space, color, shape, form, value, texture, or line.
Explain at least 1 of the following in your piece: Balance, unity, variety, emphasis, movement, pattern, or proportion.
INTERPRET:
Explain your idea behind your piece. What inspired you? How does your piece show this? (technique, subject, color, artist, other)
JUDGE:
What do you find successful about your piece?
What did you learn from this assignment?
